| Q |
|
How
do I know if my baby is eating enough? |
| A |
|
Your
baby should have 6-8 wet diapers a day. You should hear your
baby swallowing when he or she is nursing. Your baby's skin
should be clear and firm, and your baby should be bright and
alert. |

|
| Q |
|
Now
that I'm no longer pregnant, can I drink and smoke again? |
| A |
|
Only
if you want your baby to drink and smoke. Alcohol, drugs, and
tobacco all pass through breast milk to the baby, and second
hand smoke can cause serious health problems for children including
pneumonia, asthma, and ear infections. |

|
| Q |
|
Is
it okay to nurse my baby in bed? |
| A |
|
Only
if you don't fall asleep with him/her. It is dangerous to sleep
with your baby. It's easy to roll over and hurt your baby or
suffocate him/her. |
