The decision to place your baby for adoption is not made lightly; the PHI Center recognizes this and is available to provide information and a sympathetic ear to listen to any concerns that you may have. Myth Fact
The birthmother will regret her decision the rest of her life. For the birth parent facing an unplanned pregnancy, making an adoptive plan can be very positive.
Birthmothers are uncaring and soon forget about their babies. Birthparents make loving parenting decisions when they plan adoptions.
Adoption damages the child. Adopted children do well in life.
Most adoptive parents are unfit. Adoptive parents are as fit and as capable as any cross-section of biological parents.
The adoption process is secretive. Adoption process today seeks to share information on a level that will benefit all-birthparents, adoptive parents, and most importantly, the child.
